Orji Kalu seeks more support, gratitude from Igbo towards Buhari

Orji Uzor Kalu, the Chief Whip of the Senate, believes the people of the South East region of the country hae not supported President Muhammamadu Buhari enough and show appreciation for his efforts for the Igbo.

The senator, therefore, called on Ndigbo to work more to support President Buhari so that they would benefit more from his administration.

Sen. Kalu bared his mind during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Friday, in Abuja.

The former Abia State governor said that supporting President Buhari would attract more federal projects to the South East.

According to Sen. Kalu, it is on record that Abia North Senatorial zone is the only zone in the South-East and South-South that gave Buhari 68 per cent votes in the 2019 general elections.

Said he, “If we are given a chance to repeat what we did in 2019, I think the people will do more voting for him.

“From what President Buhari has done in my constituency, the votes might be higher than 68 per cent.”
