Organ harvesting saga: Sonia Ekweremadu disagrees with UK Jury’s judgement on parents, doctor

Daughter of jailed Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu, Sonia, has disagreeed with the sentencing of her parents by a UK court.
Sonia, who is at the centre of organ havesting drama leading to her parents’ being sentenced, in an interview with BBC, expressed shock of her parent’s arrest and ultimate conviction, adding that she would be biased in such a situation because she would always be on her parents’ side.

She disclosed that since the case began, she had got so many donors, however, stated that though she was not involved in the search for a kidney.
Sen. Ekweremadu, his wife, Beatrice and doctor, who acted as a middleman were, on Friday, sentenced to nine years and eight months, four and half years and ten years imprisonment, respectively, for plotting to harvest a man’s kidney.
