The party, in a statement by its state Publicity Secretary, Mr. Alex kalejaye, viewed this as a sure way to dispel misgivings and negativity from among the populace, and rekindle their hope and confidence in the incoming cabinet.

“It is not by accident that President Muhammadu Buhari carefully selected some of the most experienced and best brains from among the lots available in the country. The onus lies on those selected to justify the huge confidence reposed in them by conceiving and implementing workable policies, particularly in areas that are very key to the overall security and wellbeing of Nigerians,” the statement stated.

The party further urged Mr. President to  ignore criticisms against his list of nominees by those who take pleasure in doing so, irrespective of how brilliant the ideas are, and how great the intentions.

“We commend the President for the choice of Senator Tayo Alasoadura from Ondo State, and congratulate the nominee. He is well versed, particularly in politics and administration, to deliver on national assignments,” the statement added.

The party stressed however that it was not oblivious of the fact that other notable leaders of our party from the State equally indicated interest to serve in the same capacity, hoping that other opportunities would come their way soon.
