The Trailer Park Manager at the Oko-Oba, Agege Lagos abattoir, Alhaji Saadu Yusuf Dandare Gulma, an Engineer, has disclosed that, the Park under his supervision receives average of 24 trailers filled with cows every day, lamenting that, the number has reduced to that unlike before when the number used to be higher.
Speaking further with our correspondent, the Kebbi State born Park manager revealed that, every trailer would carry between 34 and 40 cows each depending on the sizes of the cows, adding that, they troop in every day except on Sundays.
By this, an average of 144 trailers will offload their commodities weekly with about 40 cows each making the number of cows roughly 23, 040 per month.
On peaceful coexistence in the environment, Gulma said, “we are all living in peace and harmony here. We the northerners and the Yoruba and others have our leaders. And our leaders maintain cordial relationship among themselves. If there is any challenge, we have our rule and regulations to follow. And if the need arises, we have the police, the military, para-military and other security outfits to come in and resolve the issue amicably and we move on. Remember we are all Nigerians and we are brothers and sisters of same family. That is why abattoir is in peace.”
The excited Manager reminded that he has been around in Lagos for 32 years, revealing, “I even married from your tribe, Yoruba, so I speak Yoruba very well.”
He commended Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for doing well, assuring him that all members of the Arewa Community in the Lagos State chapter of the APC, of whom he is the Chairman would mobilise widely and vote heavily for him to secure his second term in office next year.
On the presidential aspiration of the former governor of the state, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Gulma said his victory is certain because it is a divine project from the Almighty Allah reminding that, “when Allah says yes to a project, anybody saying no is just wasting his time.”
