Thousands of well wishers gathered at the Harbour Point, Lagos, venue of the “Symphony of Praise and Thanksgiving,” for the reception in honour of oil magnate, Reverend Ada Ugo-Ngadi, who was ordained Priest of the Methodist Church Nigeria.
Among those who thronged the venue were popular gospel artistes Sammy Okposo, Mercy Chinwo, and Chioma Jesus among others, who thrilled the audience with their performances.
Rev. Ugo-Ngadi, an astute business woman and quintessential player in the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry, was on August 22, 2021 ordained into the Priesthood of the Methodist Church Nigeria in a ceremony officiated by the Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Dr.Samuel Kanu Uche, at the Hoarse Memorial Cathedral, Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba, Lagos State.
The celebrant is known by many as an experienced business leader and silent philanthropist who has provided succour to the plight of widows, drug addicts, while all kinds of indigent persons were on her monthly payroll as a way of giving back to the society and service to God.
She has also invested in medical facilities, rehabilitation centres and feeding programmes in different locations. She has however stayed away from public glare in spite of her philanthropic gesture.
Speakers extolled the virtues of the newly ordained priest of the Methodist Church,, saying her ordination was long overdue and that she was deserving of the new office.
One of the attendees narrated how Reverend Adaoha helped sponsored church building projects and several evangelistic outreaches, irrespective of denomination.
“She deserves this ordination because she loves God and always supports the work of God,” the attendee said.

While speaking, Rev. Adaoha called for the support of family and friends to make her successful in her new office as their backing is ” deemed indispensable”.
Speakers at the event noted that the celebrant is a woman of repute, adding her investiture was symbolic, especially in an era where religious titles are bastardised and used as mere decorative veneers.
“The onus now lies on Reverend Adaoha Ugo-Ngadi to prove skeptics wrong by being a true reflection of the new office with which she has been trusted,” they said.
