Ohanaeze Ndigbo tackles Arewa over Buhari’s ‘dot in a circle’ description of Ndigbo

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has accused northern elders of supporting President Muhammadu Buhari’s’s description of Ndigbo as an encircled dot.

It said the silence of Northern leaders was a tacit support to Buhari’s statement but stated the indeed the Igbo may be a fit in the circle but would consume.
all anti-Igbo exponents.

In a statement on Tuesday, Ohanaeze said “dot in a circle is the Bermuda Triangular point that will gulp all anti-Igbo exponents.”

The Ohanaeze Secretary-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, urged northern leaders “to speak out against discrimination meted out on Igbos and the disastrous declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari that the southeast is landlocked. No damage control or image laundering will assuage this collective assault on Ndigbo.

“It appears that there are chains of crafted skirmish programmed to either aggravate the trauma of Ndigbo or remind them of the sordid past years, and with ‘a dot in a circle’ slogan that was used to maul Igbos during the Biafra war, which left three million people dead, especially women and children.”

Continuing, Isiguzoro added: “Right now, just within 160 days, 513 Igbos have been killed, 2436 arrested and 854 missing in the ongoing ‘imported’ security challenges in the southeast.

“We have seen the direction of events and Igbos are not noisy anymore, we are emergency experts in all situations. A dot in a circle remains the “Bermuda Triangular point” that will swallow nepotistic anarchists and anti-Igbo exponents.”
