Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State was, on Sunday, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, where he met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo privately in Abeokuta.
It was believed that the meeting centered on salient national issues.
Governor Tambuwal, who arrived the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Penthouse residence of the former Presidemt around 1.30pm, met his host behind closed doors.

According to Obasanjo’s Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Kehinde Akinyemi, the Sokoto State governor was accompanied to Obasanjo’s residence by some of his key aides.
The duo came out at about 2.40pm and briefly hinted that the meeting was on national issues.
Neither Obasanjo nor his guests gave details of discussions during the meeting.
It was learnt that Governor Tambuwal later took lunch with his entourage and headed for the mosque inside OOPL to observe Salat (prayers) before leaving the complex.
