Oba of Lagos pays homage to Tinubu at Lagos residence

The Oba of Lagos, Oba Riliwan Akiolu, honoured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with a Sallah visit, on Sunday, marking the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

 

 

 

 

 

The traditional ruler made the homage at Tinubu’s residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Meanwhile, a former Governor of Edo State, Sen. Adams Oshiomhole, also visited President Tinubu at his Lagos home to mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

Following their meeting, Oshiomhole expressed confidence in the unity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state and its readiness for the upcoming governorship election.

 

 

 

 

 

Speaking to reporters, Oshiomhole emphasized the APC’s preparedness for the polls and its establishment of a Campaign Council to lead the efforts. He highlighted the party’s optimism for victory while acknowledging the challenges faced by opponents, including internal strife within the Labour Party.

 

 

 

 

 

Oshiomhole briefed Tinubu on the state’s developments, noting the president’s support for the APC’s initiatives. Additionally, he expressed gratitude for positive developments underway, making his Sallah homage an occasion of both respect and strategic discussion.
