Chairman of Delta state Sports Commission, Mr. Tonobok Okowa said all is set to host the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six Tournament at the Stephen Keshi stadium Asaba, Delta State.The Chairman also added that, all participating teams and their officials have arrived Stephen Keshi Stadium for the draws which took place on Monday 5th June, 2023.
“All teams have arrived and all is now set for the Super Six Kick off, we are good to go and we will continue to be a good host.”
The participating include, defending champion Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens, Fc Robo Queens, Rivers Angels, Confluence Queens and host Delta Queens, they’re all ready for the tournament schedule to hold Tuesday 6th to 11th June 2023 in Asaba.
The championship is to determine the overall champion of the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership and Nigeria’s representive in the womens CAF WAFU B play-off whose winner will qualify for the women’s continental champions league.
