No one is safe in Nigeria – Shehu Sani

A former senator, Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central at the 8th National Assembly, has said no Nigerian is safe from kidnappers.

The former federal lawmaker made the remark while reacting to the report of the abduction of the Commissioner of Information and Strategy in Niger State, on Monday morning.

Recall that some unknown gunmen, in the early hours of Monday, invaded the residence of the  Commissioner, Alhaji Sani Idris, and whisked him away.

Reacting to the incident via a Facebook post, the former lawmaker condemned the incident, describing it as tragic.

Shehu Sani wrote, “The abduction of the Niger State commissioner of Information is tragic. This further attest to the fact that no one is safe. My prayers to him and other students of the Tegina Islamic school still in the hands of their abductors.

“The federal and state governments must wake up and address this consuming danger”.
