Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer lists how Igbo can be ‘expelled’ from Lagos

Ahead of the governorship election, Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), had highlighted how the Igbo can be ‘expelled’ from Lagos State, Daily Post reports.

Daily Post said that in a series of tweets, Ejimakor wrote: “If you want to expel the Igbo from Lagos, do this: Organize referendum on Biafra. Once it’s carried, you will see a voluntary & happy stampede out of Lagos. Or, you build a seaport in South East & return Nigeria to regional autonomy as a means to Biafra. Do this & thank me later.

“An Igbo-dominated market in Lagos burnt down after the Igbo in Lagos were threatened.

“Fani Kayode, Prophet Godwin, ahoy! Yoruba ronu. Ndigbo kwechiri.”

There had been agitation for the Igbo to be removed from Lagos State.

The agitation was due to the outcome of the Presidential election in which Labour Party’s Peter Obi defeated the President-elect, Bola Tinubu in the state.

Following the election, Igbo suffered major losses in Lagos State as one of the markets they dominated was burnt down.
