NIS receives 23 Nigerian returnees from Togo

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), has received Twenty – three (23) Nigerian returnees that arrived from Lome-Togo Sunday April 12, 2020 at Seme-Krake Joint Border Post.

The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede (MFR), on receiving the report of the returnees directed that the Control post carryout proper profiling and documentation of the returnees who were (23) in number with the following breakdown:

Anambra-6, Ogun-3, Delta-3, Edo-2, Imo-2, Oyi 1,Benue-1,Abia-1,Enugu-1,Ekiti-1. They were properly screened by WHO (World Health Organization) and Port Health Officials before the NIS profiling.

The returnees were handed over to the Lagos State Government Ministry of Health Officials for onward processing in line with NCDC health procedures for returning Nigerians.

The Comptroller General of Immigration Babandede also seized this opportunity to wish Nigerians a Happy Easter as they Stay Safe.
