Social critic and activist, Aisha Yesufu, is under fire over her Twitter post against Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in which said the economy has taken a nosedive under him.

She also called the Vice President a hypocrite in a slew of tweets on Tuesday.

“Where the economy has gone to under Buhari and Osinbajo is yet to be plotted.

Yemi Osinbajo @ProfOsinbajo is a green snake under green grass.

#OsinbajoStartedAttackOnCivicSpace”, she posted on Twitter.

Nigerians called out the activist on social media and labelled her a hypocrite as they dig up previous posts where she praised Osinbajo.

The hashtag, #AishaTheHypocrite, is a top trend on Twitter on Tuesday packing over 4,000 tweets and counting, where many of her critics say she applies a double standard to her activism and criticisms.

“It’s funny how she keeps on pointing fingers but would never remove the log in her own eyes. I remember when she protected her own business but was the face of the movement which caused many Nigerians to lose their source of livelihood.   #AishaTheHypocrite,” one Tise Somide said on Twitter.

Another user said: “Aisha Yesufu wants you to believe she is fighting for a better Nigeria yet she sends her kids abroad and mocks the rest of us. #AishaTheHypocrite.

She called the social media attacks ‘electronic thuggery’ and said nothing would stop her from speaking the truth.
