Nigeria shines in Dubai organic, natural products expo 2019

This year’s Exhibition of Organic and Natural Products, tagged “Dubai Expo 2019” ended with positive results. The three days  event which took place on  the 3rd to 5th December,  2019 at Dubai World  Trade Centre focused on five  nature market segments including: Health, Beauty, Food and Beverages, Living and Environment.  

Nigeria was well represented by the Department of Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicine (TCAM) under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Health and Ruzu Herbal Products and Services Ltd.  The team includes: Pharm. Zainab Sheraff, Director TCAM, Dr. Baba Ahmad, the Technical Assistant to the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry and Health, Dr. Robert Uzu, Managing Director RUZU Herbal Products and Services Ltd. and Engr. Innocent Ogu, the President, African Legacy International who also was the representative of the organisers.

Pharm. Zainab Shariff led the side of the Ministry in the company of Dr. Robert Onyemaechi Uzu at the exhibition.  

RUZU Herbal Products and Services Ltd. had the opportunity to showcase Organic and Natural Products from Africa such as Ruzu Herbal Bitters, Ruzu Herbal Tea and Ruzu Black for Men.

TCAM present at the event added value to African herbs as Pharm. Zainab displayed Aloe vera, Ginger, Garlic, spice tea, and among others to the rest of the world.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Robert Uzu, the MD RUZU Herbal Products and Services Ltd. thanked the Federal Ministry of Health most especially the director of TCAM, Pharm Zainab and African Legacy International for the opportunity given to him to represent Nigeria at the event. He also used the medium to appreciate the Founder/CEO Human Rights Radio and Television, Ordinary President Issa Ahmad for projecting him to the world.

This is the first time Nigeria would join the rest of the world to participate in the event which was attended by over 70 countries. Other African countries in attendance include Ghana, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Burkina Faso and Mozambique.

The conference is a place for International suppliers of Organic Products to meet buyers and establish contacts with an eye on the booming Natural health Industry.  It provides business opportunities for manufacturers to meet targeted audience and specialists from the field of Traditional, Complimentary and Alternative Medicine.  

The organizers of the event applauded the effort of Nigeria in embracing the Traditional and Alternative Medicine, maintaining that with proper and quality products, they would be a breakthrough in the field of medicine.

Nigeria team returned home with an eye for next year Expo which the plan starts now.
