Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has assured Lagosians of peaceful elections tomorrow, promising there is no for residents of the state to fear.
According to the Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso, the governor gave the assurance following the recent announcement of some customary rites by traditional rulers which are to be conducted before the election.

He said the government ‘assure all residents of the security of lives and properties.
The governor, however, cautions traditional Institutions holding the rites not to infringe on the rights of the residents especially during the course of the elections.
He urged residents to go about their civic duties as the government will ensure that all security personnel are at the alert to guarantee the peace and safety of the lives of the good citizens of Lagos State, before, during and after the elections.
The governor also warned anybody planning to cause trouble to desist as the law will take its full course on such persons.
