#NIGERIA DECIDES2023: Dino Melaye, Emeka Ihedioha, Labour Party agents, others walk out of Presidential Collation Centre,

…Say ‘APC has compromised INEC’

Agents of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and some of other parties had called on INEC to halt the collation of results until results are uploaded to IREV.

Sen. Dino Melaye and Hon. Emeka Ihedioha of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had accused INEC of violating the Electoral Act by going ahead with the result collation and announcement despite not uploading the results on the iREV portal. They therefore walked out of the International Convention Centre, Abuja, venue of the National Collation Centre.

Agents of some other parties, including those of the SDP, LP and ADP also expressed similar views.

The aggrieved agents all walked out of the venue.

But as the drama ensued, INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, rejected the demand of the agents and said the protest would continue.

INEC then continued with the collation exercise.

“We are not here to rubber stamp the electoral fraud that has been declared by INEC and APC. “INEC is compromised. APC has influenced INEC,” Sen. Melaye told journalists.
