In most towns and cities monitored in Osun State, the election is generally peaceful with reasonably large turnout in some Polling Units. In Ede, the hometown of the new governor, Sen. Ademola Adeleke, proceedings went well as a resident, Mr Razak Amobi Bakare said, there was no hiccup throughout the ancient city. Amobi Bakare, a retired educationist voted at Sabo/Agbongbe, Unit 1, Ede.
Also in Osogbo, the state capital city, the general atmosphere was conducive for electoral activities as the process went well and smooth. A school teacher, Mrs. Hafsat Omolade Maaruf, who voted at Egbedore, Ward 3, Unit 5 told our reporter that, there was no cause for alarm as the process went well without hitches.

A legal practitioner, Barrister Tiamiyu Adegboyega Sulaiman, who spoke with our correspondent on the phone, expressed the delight that everything was peaceful and rancour-free. The Obafemi Awolowo University Alumnus voted at Maternity Centre, Oba-Ile, Unit 005.
At Igbaye in Odo-Otin Local Government of Osun State, the exercise was very peaceful there with reasonably impressive turnout. A community elite and a popular Prince, Omooba Gbola Olaleke, who briefed our reporter on the phone and whatsApp picture to illustrate his assertion that things went well expressed the delight that, the event was good.
Olaleke, a Political Scientist from the University of Lagos however charged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to play the rest of its part well as he commended them that, so far, it has been so good at this stage.
