The United States Government has said its new $537million (approximately N223,257,750,000.00) in Lagos will be its largest consulate in the world when completed in 2027.
Amb. Mary Leonard and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State stated this at the Eko Atlantic City, on Lagos Island, during the ongoing groundbreaking ceremony for the Consulate.

According to Ambassador Leonard, the 10-storey consular complex will pump about $90milion into the Lagos and Nigerian economy.
