The Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Mojisola Lasbat Meranda on Tuesday visited members of the Lagos Governance Advisory Council, GAC, at the Lagos House, Marina to seek their blessings as she begins her reign as the Speaker of the House.
Meranda was accompanied by the lawmakers including the closest ally of the former speaker, Gbolahan Yishawu.
While speaking at the end of the meeting with the GAC members, Meranda said members of the House came to brief the GAC members on the new development at the House and also to receive their blessings.
She however refused to disclose further details of the meeting.
Meranda was sworn-in as the first female speaker of the Lagos House of Assembly on Monday January 13 following the impeachment of the former speaker, Mudasiru Obasa.
Obasa was removed by 32 out of the 39 lawmakers on allegations of financial misconduct and high-handedness.
