About 30,000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) affected by banditry activities in Zamfara State have received 20 trucks of relief materials from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
Flagging off the distribution of relief materials, in Gusau, the state capital, NEMA Director-General, Mustapha Maihaja, said the distribution was after careful assessment of the situation was carried out by the agency.

Maihaja represented by the Head, NEMA Sokoto Operation Office in charge of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states, Dr. Kofoworola Soleye, said the items were meant for those who are directly affected by the ugly menace of banditry in the state.
