The fourteenth ICAO Air Services Negotiation (ICAN2022) event is ongoing at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
The event, which is being held in a hybrid setting (in-person and virtually), is hosted by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA. It began on December 5 and will end on December 9, 2022.
ICAN2022 is organised in such a way that states’ participation is either on-site or remotely, but with a central meeting place to conduct bilateral, regional or multilateral air services negotiations and consultations, including networking opportunities for policy makers, regulators, air operators, service providers and other stakeholders.

Participants at the event are expected to be apprised of current industry trends and issues, and exchange experiences, as well as the negotiation of agreements.
The ceremony was declared open by the Chief of Staff to the President Muhammadu Buhari, Ambassador Ibrahim Gambari.
