Native doctor kills client while testing bulletproof charm

A 19-year-old native doctor, Timothy Dauda, has shot and killed his client, Alex Ezekiel, while testing the efficacy of a supposed bulletproof charm he had made for him.

The charm was to protect the victim against gun and cutlasses but it failed as he died during the testing.

The incident happened in Edo State at Onumu Community, in Àkókò-Edo Local Government Area.

According to the spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Moses Joel Yamu, the native doctor has been arrested by operatives of the Igarra Division.

The police said the victim has approached the native doctor and requested the bulletproof charm.

“One Alex Ezekiel ‘m’ now deceased, went to the “native doctor” to get the charms prepared for him. After preparing the charms, the native doctor tried to test the efficacy of the charm by shooting the deceased with a gun,” the PPRO stated.

He added: “Unfortunately, the deceased sustained fatal injuries, was rushed to Ifejola Hospital, Igarra, where he was certified dead by a medical doctor.”

Yamu said the suspect will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
