Michael Jackson arrested by EFCC in Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a suspected internet fraudster identified as Michael Jackson, in Lagos over his alleged involvement in internet fraud.

He was caught with some fetish items after being arrested by EFCC operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command on Tuesday, following a piece of information received by the anti-graft agency on the illegal activities of some individuals allegedly involved in computer-related fraud.

According to reports gathered, Jackson posed as a transgender woman, named ‘Ella’ and allegedly defrauded unsuspecting victims of millions of naira.

According to a statement released by the commission on Wednesday, “Michael Jackson, who also claimed to be a Disc Jockey, had in his possession fetish items, which he claimed was “for grace and success.”

The Nigerian Xpress has reported that a man has been arrested for fraudulently obtaining N38 million from suspected internet fraudsters.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested Ladeji Kelvin Babatunde in Lagos, according to a statement released on Thursday, August 26, 2021.

The agency said the suspect pretended to be one of its agents to fool the suspected cybercriminals.
