A former Military Administrator of Lagos State, Col. Buba Marwa (rtd) has told the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, to forget about the Presidency in 2019.
Marwa, chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), spoke at the Presidential campaign rally for women and youths in the North West zone of the country held, on Saturday, at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
The former Nigeria’s Ambassador to South Africa also urged the PDP to wait for 2023 or some other time in the future to represent its aspiration to the Nigerian people.
Marwa, who hails from the same North East zone as Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, congratulated his party members in advance over their victory in next month’s presidential election, saying that from all indications, the February 2018 presidential election would go to incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.

He maintained that President Buhari is loved by majority of Nigerians because of the policies he has implemented in the last three and half years.
He cited these policies to include the administration’s war against terror and its war against corruption, while adding that the president has comported himself with honour and integrity.
In his remark, a former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpapio, told the all women audience at the rally that the people of the South – South regions had promised to deliver 95 percent of their votes to President Buhari during the forth-coming elections.
According to him, although the North West has a higher number of registered voters than their South – South counterparts, yet they are resolved to compete with the North West in the total number of votes that President Buhari would earn in the election.
Wife of the President, Hajia Aisha Buhari, at the raly, also urged party members to vote for her husband in the elections, while assuring that if re-elected, her husband’s administration would sustain the various social intervention programmes started by during the first tenure.
In attendance at the Presidential North West Rally for women and youths were the wives of the Governors of Ekiti, Imo, Osun, Katsina, Borno, Oyo, Kaduna and Katsina, including the wife of the Governor of Kano State.
