There was low turn out of voters today during the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in some parts of Ogun State. At Ibafo, Obafemi Owode LGA, voters came out early by about 7.00 am to exercise their civil rights. Voting began around 8:30 am and by 12 noon, there were no more voters to attend to. Some INEC officials who spoke to The Nigeria Xpress off camera complained of low turnout of voters. Voting was however conducted peacefully. This is even as agents and thugs belonging to the different political parties were seen milling around the voting area while security personnel from the Army and Police kept surveillance of the environment.
