Lagos Red Line rail’ll be reality before May 29, says Sanwo-Olu

Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu of Lagos State, on Monday, said the ongoing construction of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Red Line would be completed  before the end of his first tenure in office in May.

While on inspection tour of the project at Yaba and Ebute Meta axis of the state, where train stations and vehicular bridges overpass were sited, the governor stated that the Ebute Metta overpass was 75 to 80 percent completed while that of Yaba was 95 percent completed.

He expressed satisfaction with the progress and level of works on the Redline rail project and on the stretch of Ebute- Meta to Alagbado.

The governor further noted that when the project is completed, it would help in averting accidents on rail considering the design of the ongoing modern red line project.

Speaking on the outcome of the election, he regretted that during the campaigns, divisive rhetoric were used but disclosed that the healing process had been initiated.
