Policemen attached to the Festac Police Division have arrested two notorious traffic robbers terrorising motorists in the area.
The suspects, who were arrested at about 9:40pm, on Friday, were said to be shooting sporadically into the air, while disposing commuters and other passerby of their valuables, at 24 Road, Opposite G-Close, Festac.
Information about their activities had reached the police division and a detachment of Policemen was immediately mobilised to the scene.
The Lagos Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), DSP Elkana Bala, who gave details on the arrest, identified the suspects as Obinna Alozie, 21, and Obinna Machu, 27.

Bala said, “Alozie said he lives at No. 19, Ogogoro Junction Iyana-Iba, while Machu gave his house address as No. 10, Canal Road, Ajegunle.
“Recovered from them were one locally-made pistol with ammunition and other dangerous weapons.”
The PPRO said Investigation was ongoing, and that the suspects would soon be charged to court.
Similarly, operatives from the Okokomaiko Police Division, have arrested an armed robbery suspect, and recovered stolen properties.
The division had received a distress call on May 5, at about 2:21am, that some hoodlums were operating at Luri Filling Station, Igbo-Okoko, Okokomaiko.
A team was drafted to the scene where Abdulasisi Owoyemi,18year old, of Magbon Town, Badagry was arrested in connection with the case.
The spokesperson said one locally made double barrel gun and five stolen phones were recovered from the suspect.
“Investigation is said to be ongoing, as efforts are emplaced to track down other Fleeing members of the gang. The suspect will be charged to court soon,” Bala said.
