The Lagos State Government has urged drivers under its employ to be good Ambassadors and representatives of the state by comporting themselves in orderly ways and  manners

Speaking during the monthly meeting of the Lagos State Government Pilots Association, on Wednesday in Alausa, Ikeja, Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mrs. Bolaji De-Souza-Olowofela, told the drivers to comport themselves whenever and wherever they are as employers and government drivers.

De-Souza-Olowofela, who was represented by the Deputy Director in the   Office of Chief of Staff, Damola Atanda-Lawal, said drivers by virtue of being in government employment were representatives and ambassadors of government, hence the need to be upright and be of good manner at all times, whether alone or with their attached bosses.

According to him, the way the  drivers dress sometimes is appalling, which occasionally prevents  them from gaining entrance to most places with their bosses.

Dada also advised his fellow drivers to avoid stealing things belonging  to their bosses.

The drivers appealed to the Lagos State government to fashion a way of  upgrading them from their present level to higher qualifications in the civil service and include them too in the training and retraining in the civil service.
