Lagos begins 2021 Africa Industrialisation Week

The Lagos State Government, in commemoration of the International Africa Industrialisation Day, will kick off the 2021 Africa Industrialisation Day/Young Africa Industrialization week. this year’s event on Tuesday, 23rd, November 2021 at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.

In a statement released, on Monday, by the Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Dr. Mrs. Lola Akande, the 4-day long event which will be declared open by Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu is themed, “Industrialisation Africa: Renewed Commitments towards an Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization and Economic Diversification”.

She said the event would showcase new initiatives in the Industrial Sector in Lagos State while encouraging more contributions of the sector to the overall economic growth and development of the state and the nation.

The Commissioner noted that the event would see the presentation of model Projects designed by Students across the State and also new initiatives of Young African Industrialists.

She further explained that the Industrialists Week will provide a platform for exhibitions, daily Lectures and Paper presentations by erudite Scholars on topical issues affecting Industries and the public presentation of the Award of Excellence to Outstanding Industrialists in the State.

While commending African Industrialists for their creative science based researches and fabrications exhibited in previous years, Akande emphasised the State Government’s commitment to promoting Policies and providing infrastructure that would encourage sustainable growth and development of the Industrial Sector.
