Lionel Messi was simply at his best today as he singlehandedly destroyed hard fighting Sevilla with his hat trick in a game that ended 4-2 in favor of Barcelona.
Messi struck first mid way in the first half with a brilliant volley only to bang in two other goals in the second stanza and providing the assist with which Suarez made it four for the Catalan giants.
Sevilla went ahead on two occasions only for Barecelona to stage a comeback courtesy of her Argentine talisman, Messi.
With the win Barca has now gone 10 points clear on top of the La Liga log ahead of second placed Athletico Madrid. Athletico would tomorrow (Sunday) host Villarreal.
In the EPL, Harry Kane who returned from injury could not swing things the way of Tottenham who bowed 1-2 away to Burnley.
