The Kwara Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS) may be collaborating with the state government and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in their drive to fight corruption in the state.
This was made known in Ilorin when the management of KWIRS, led by its Executive Chairman, Mrs. Folashade Omoniyi, who visited the Ilorin Zonal Office of EFCC.
Mrs. Omoniyi had said, “We need good relationship with a Federal Government Agency like the EFCC.
“I’m here with the management staff of Kwara State Revenue Service to pledge our support to the fight against corruption.
“Integrity is very key in whatever we do, I know we need to be open and transparent in the discharge of our duties. We are seeking for your guidance please,” she said.
Responding , Mr. Kazeen Oseni, Zonal Head of EFCC, appreciated the KWIRS delegation and pledged avowed better collaboration with the revenue service.
According to Oseni, “We have being working together for a long time. You are one of the Stakeholders in the fight against corruption. The EFCC will always respond when you call on us for any assistance, our doors are opened 24 hours.
“I must also emphasised that you will make our job easier when you do the right thing, you must do the right thing at all time, and also keep your records safe, this is very important in Public Service”, the boss added.
