Hundreds of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ayedun community, Oke Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State have dumped the party and teamed up with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Among the notable APC party elders that decamped are Elder Sunday Feyi Obaoye, who is a retired Commissioner of police and a stakeholder in the party; Hon. Mr. Adetiba Oyinbo Eleja and Tunde Owolabi alongside hundreds of their supporters.

The decampees stated that they decided to join the PDP in solidarity with their son, Engineer Dare Bankole, who had clinched the PDP House of Representatives ticket.
They thanked PDP leadership in the state and former senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki for considering Oke ero worthy of the national assembly ticket of the party.
