Kogi SDP undermining my authority – CP Onuoha

Berthrand Onuoha, the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, has accused the opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the state of undermining his authority as the Commissioner of Police.
The CP debunked allegations of partisanship in his dealings with political parties as regards the November 11 gubernatorial election in the state.
Onuoha, who was responding to questions from journalists on the recent allegations by the SDP that he denied them adequate security for its activities, said the SDP was undermining his authority by refusing to follow due process in their request as well as failing to honour several invitations by the Command.

He insisted that his doors remained open and would provide security cover during the campaigns of political parties that follow due process.
The CP warned against any acts by the political actors capable of breaching the peace of the state during the forthcoming election.
He disclosed that the state command is recording more successes in its fight against criminal elements and urged the people to be vigilant and law-abiding and go about their businesses lawfully.
