Kogi govt. says VP Osinbajo safe after crash

The Kogi State Government has declared that Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is safe and has continued his assignment in the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Vice President on Saturday survived a helicopter accident at Kabba in Kogi State.

A statement by Mr Onogwu Muhammed, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Yahaya Bello in Lokoja, said that the vice president and his entourage have since continued with their assignment.

“The Kogi State Government wishes to announce that the Vice President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, is safe.

“his followed the challenge experienced during the landing of his helicopter at about 1:30pm today in Kabba, Kogi State.

“The VP and his campaign team however continued with their visit to the state and are currently engaging the people of Kogi West Senatorial district at the Kabba township stadium,” Muhammed said. (NAN)
