Kidnappers shot bank manager, abduct wife

Despite the curfew imposed on Yagai area of Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, by Governor Darius Ishaka, kidnappers have succeeded in abducting the wife of the Manager of Bank of Agriculture, Jalingo branch, Rukayya Mohammed Umar.

It was reported that the kidnappers, numbering about 10, forced their way into the manager’s bedroom, on Sunday, shot him on the stomach, before abducting one of his wives, Rukayya.

The action promoted the other two wives to call for help but no one came.

Police online reported that the manager was rushed to Federal Medical Center (FMC), Jalingo, where pellets gunshots were extracted in an operation that lasted hours.

The PPRO in the State, DSP David Misal, confirmed the report.
