Gunmen believed to be kidnappers have abducted 25 choir members of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), at Oke Igan, in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.
The kidnap reportedly took place around 3:00p.m, on a Friday, as the worshippers were en route to Ifon for a burial ceremony.
Details surrounding the abduction were still emerging, but one of the church members, who chose to remain anonymous, revealed that the bus carrying the kidnapped choir members was abandoned by the roadside.

A distraught woman shared that two of her family members were among those kidnapped during this unfortunate incident.
As of now, Ondo State Police spokesperson, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, has not been available for comments, leaving many concerned about the fate of the abducted church members.
