Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State has assured parents and guidance of the abducted Engravers College Kakau Daji, in Chikun Local Government Area of the state, that the government would not rest on its oars until the abducted female students and staffs are rescued and the abductors brought to book.
In a statement by the state’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, who also doubles as spokesman of the Kaduna State Government, Samuel Aruwan, he condemned the incident in strong terms.
He said that Governor el-Rufai had sent a powerful delegation to the staff and students of the school as well as parents, guidance and host community of the school, to commiserate with the over the unfortunate incident.

According to Aruwan, “This is a despicable action, a most unfortunate intrusion of crime into the life of young students and the staff teaching them.”
“Governor Nasir el-Rufai has dispatched a government delegation to sympathise with the school community and assure them that security agencies are working to rescue the abducted persons,” he said.
Earlier, the school’s Bursar, Elvis Allah-Yaro, told journalists that the commissioner while leading the state delegation to the occasion, the government vowed to reach the end of the incident.
He assured the people that no stone will be left unturned to free the abductees and punish the perpetrators of the brazen crime.
He further assured the students and staff as well as the host community that adequate security will be provided in the area to forestall repeat of the incident.
