A former senator and chieftain of the People’s Democratic party (PDP), in Yobe State, Mohammed Hassan (Dambu), has left the PDP and returned to the APC.
In a press statement signed by the Director General Press and Media Affairs to Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, Mamman Mohammed, it said that Sen. Dambu made a formal defection, in Abuja, and was received by Governor and Mai Buni who is Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee.
The statement read, “The defection of Sen. Dambu was witnessed by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, Sen. Ibrahim Bomoi, the Minister of Power Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu and the state APC Chairman, Alhaji Muhammadu Gadaka”.

According to him “The exit of the former legislator has created a huge vacuum to the opposition party at both the state and national levels”.
“Sen. Dambu pledged his loyalty and support to the party leadership in the state and to work for its success at all levels”.
“The movement of Sen. Dambu into the party will increase the fortunes of the party in Zone ‘B’ Senatorial District and the state”.
