JUST IN: Police shoot tear gas at Rivers gov, Sim Fubara

Reports reaching The Nigerian Xpress now indicates that men of the Nigeria Police Force shot tear gas at Governor Siminialayi Fubara of Rivers State.

This was captured in a video that surfaced on the social media few minutes ago. The governor was walking on the streets of Port Harcourt following an impeachment procedure against him at the state’s House of Assembly.

This is coming just hours after the Assembly complex was engulfed by fire due to the crisis going on in the state.

The governor said he has not committed any offence to warrant impeachment by the Rivers State House of Assembly.
