JUST IN: Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, Demola Seriki is dead

Reports reaching The Nigerian Xpress now say Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, Ademola Rasaq Seriki, is dead. He was 63.

The news of his death was announced in a notice signed by his children, on Thursday. The notice said that he died in Madrid, Spain in the early hours of today.

Until his death, Seriki was a politician, teacher, businessman and public administrator.

The late Seriki was once Minister of State for Interior of the Federal Republic of Nigeria between 2009 to March 2010.

He was also Minister of State for Defence between 2008 to 2009.

He was Supervising Minister for Mines and Steel Development from October 2008 to December 2008 and Minister of State for Agriculture and Water Resources from2007 to 2008.

In May 2009, the Oba of Lagos, HRH Oba Rilwan Akiolu conferred on Demola Seriki the chieftaincy title of Otun Aare of Lagos.
