JUST IN: IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu arrested, extradited back to Nigeria

Report says that leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been apprehended.

Mazi Kanu has been on the run after jumping bail.

According to NAN, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami announced this, on Tuesday, in Abuja. The minister claimed Kanu was arrested last Sunday.

Malami was quoted as saying that Mazi Kanu has since been extradited from the United Kingdom to Nigeria.

He claimed that Kanu was arrested through joint efforts between the Nigerian and UK authorities, said Malami.

Kanu is expected to be produced at the Federal High Court, Abuja, for continuation of his trial for alleged treason.
