A former Managing Director of the World Bank, Dr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on Monday, met behind closed doors with President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, in Abuja.
Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala is in the race to become the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), having been nominated for the top job by the president.

She was led to the meeting with the President by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Niyi Adebayo; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Zubair Dada; and Minister of State, Industry Trade and Investment, Maryam Katagun.
At the end of the meeting, Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala was seen off the presidential villa by Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari.
