Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State, on Tuesday, announced the dissolution of the state Executive Council.
Announcing the dissolution to the media, the outgoing Commissioner for Information Alhaji Bala Ibrahim Mamser, said those involved include at the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), all commissioners, Special Advisers and assistants.
Alhaji Ibrahim said the dissolution also included all political appointees such as chairmen of governing bodies of institutions and heads of Parastatals and agencies.

He said the dissolution which is in tandem with the provision of the law that prevails on affected officers to step down before the inauguration of a new administration on May 29.
The commissioner declared that all commissioners must quickly handover to their respective Permanent Secretaries or to the most senior administrative officer in their sectors.
