In preparation for the 2025 CBT centre accreditation exercise, centre owners have been urged to update their computer systems and other facilities.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) State Coordinator in Akwa Ibom State,
Mrs Grace Olima-William advised the CBT centre proprietors at a roundtable meeting with them and the board’s state technical adviser in Uyo.
Olima-William urged the centre owners to ensure their facilities were in optimal condition ahead of the accreditation exercise, which she indicated would commence shortly.
She emphasized, “Everything is set for the 2025 accreditation exercise. Therefore, you need to update your computer systems and other facilities in preparation.”
The coordinator also highlighted the importance of transitioning from desktop thin-client systems to laptops in alignment with the Board’s current specifications.
Dr. Uyi Ekong, the state technical advisor, reinforced the message, advising proprietors to adhere strictly to their agreements with the Board. He cautioned that any unethical behaviour could jeopardize the integrity of the Board’s examinations and adversely affect the future of the candidates.
In response, Mr Edward Ifudu, the spokesperson for CBT Centre Proprietors in Akwa Ibom State, expressed gratitude to the coordinator for the engaging session and assured her that they would work diligently to ensure the accreditation process unfolded smoothly.
