His words “I received the news of the demise of the Onijoun of Ijoun, His Royal Highness, Oba (Hon.) Rasaq Tunde Adewusi with deep sense of loss; too painful to comprehend.
“I particularly recall his overwhelming support and commitment to our cause during the 2019 election. His commitment to the ideals of grassroots politics, deep sense of patriotism, unalloyed support to our cause will continue to serve as a reference to us.
“More importantly, we would not forget so soon his prayers for us during our visit to the Yewa Council of Obas. He also showed uncommon understanding when we could not reach his palace during our campaign tour of Ketu State Constituency in Yewa North. Such was his display of love.”
While praying that Almighty Allah grants the late monarch eternal repose, Isiaka urged his family, people of Ijounland, and Yewa North/Imeko Afon Federal Constituency to be strong in this moment of grief to be able to bear this great loss.
