INEC declares APC’s Okpebholo winner of Edo governorship election

 

Monday Okpebholo, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been declared the winner of the Edo State governorship election held on Saturday.

Okpebholo scored a total of 291,667 votes to defeat his closest rival, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 247,655 votes.

Olumide Akpata, representing the Labour Party (LP), finished third, receiving a total of 22,763 votes.
