Imo lady stabs lover to death over Internet fraud proceeds 

 

 

 

Oluchi Nzemechi, 27, of Uzoagba in Ikeduru LGA, Imo State, has been taken into custody by the police on suspicion of killing her 31-year-old baby daddy, Kelechi Nzemechi, The Sun reports.

 

 

 

According to a statement made public by ASP Henry Okoye, the command spokesperson, the suspect admitted to the crime during questioning and said that her partner had tricked her into engaging in online fraud, also known as “Yahoo Yahoo.”

 

 

 

Okoye disclosed that Oluchi admitted that on June 2, she had a violent fight with the deceased because he had not given her a portion of the purported 250 million Rupiah they had taken illegally from a victim in Indonesia. During their altercation, Oluchi stabbed him in the upper torso with a kitchen knife.

 

 

“The suspect further revealed that in a bid to cover up her criminal acts, she swiftly wrote on a piece of paper; ‘You think you can eat my money and go free, I am baba for the boys, I am coming for your wife and your child, including your family’ and placed it on the lifeless body of the victim and ran away from the house.

 

 

She also stated that she had been living with the victim since 2019 and has a child for him.

 

 

 

Okoye shared that efforts are being made to locate the purported 250 million Indonesian Rupiah so that the owner may potentially get it back.

 

 

 

He continued by saying that the suspect would undoubtedly be charged in court and is presently the subject of an investigation by the State Criminal Investigation Department.
