There is total compliance to the sit at home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Monday.

Douglas House, the seat of power in Imo State is deserted, as workers stayed away following threats by the proscribed group to residents not come out.

Feelers from Owerri, the Imo State capital show that civil servants in the state complied with the order despite governor Hope Uzodimma’s threat to punish absentee workers.

Various posts and pictures on social media show deserted roads, locked shops and offices as residents observe the order by IPOB.

There were reported cases of gunshots in Nnewi, Anambra State. Other reports say two people have died from gunshot wounds on Monday.
