Imo dep. Speaker, Ozuruigbo resigns

Deputy Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Ugonna Ozuruigbo, has resigned from office.

The lawmaker representing Nwangele constituency reportedly tendered his resignation letter, on Thursday.

This was coming after members of the state’s House of Assembly, on Wednesday, served an impeachment notice on the Speaker of the House, Mr. Iheanacho Ihim, over alleged misconduct.

The members also elected Mr Chinedu Offor (AA), representing Onuimo Constituency, as the Protem Speaker.
