Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman Abdul Razaq , on Tuesday commended Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on several infrastructure projects in the state.
According to him, the projects are centred around citizen’s welfare and deserve commendation.
Governor Abdulrasaq spoke as a Guest of Honour at the commissioning of the Ikeja Redline Overpass Bridge on Tuesday. According to him, Lagos has been divinely blessed with quality and outstanding leaders in the last 20 years which has made the state to remain at the forefront.
He added the bridge was another signatory project by Sanwo-Olu’s administration as it has built and commissioned several others.

“What we are seeing here today supports the fact that development is a process, not a destination,” Abdulrasaq said.
“Between 1999 and now we have seen consistent and impressive improvement in infrastructure development across all sectors in Lagos state, including those that support mass transit systems. The Ikeja overpass and similar like this are bold testimony in this respect,” he added.
He maintained that successive administrations in Lagos state have built on one another’s successes and exchanged good projects that have strengthened Lagos which made it one of the largest economies in the world today.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in his speech said the Ikeja overpass bridge was the 4th out of five bridges that pass through the red line.
The ones already commissioned were the Agege-PenCinema bridge, the Yaba flyover and the Oyingbo flyover.
